Tegenungan is Bali’s largest waterfall by water volume and is conveniently located near popular tourist areas like Nusa Dua, Kuta, Legian, Sanur, Seminyak, and Ubud. As the most visited waterfall on the island, the path from the car park to the falls features numerous souvenir stalls and local cafes, with a toilet available before the steps leading down into the valley.
To reach Tegenungan Waterfall, drive about 16 km (approximately 30 minutes) from Denpasar to the Tegenungan Kemenuh village in Gianyar. You’ll need to descend roughly 100 stone-paved steps, taking around 15 minutes, to reach the riverbank and walk to the base of the falls. Exercise caution, as the current can be strong after rainfall, making crossing the river risky.
Tegenungan is featured on the Best Waterfalls Near Seminyak Tour and is among the top 24 waterfalls in Bali.
