Commonwealth Bank ATMs in Bali

Commonwealth Bank does have ATMs in Bali, operated by a locally managed subsidiary. However, I’m not a fan due to their unreliable service, with many machines often out of cash or faulty, sometimes swallowing cards. Losing your ATM card on your first day can really ruin your holiday!

Are there Commonwealth Bank ATMs in Bali?

Yes, but they frequently run out of cash, similar to a pub running out of beer. They also charge high fees for withdrawals, typically AUD$5 or $10 per transaction, which is significantly more than what local Indonesian bank ATMs charge. Check out my guide on safely withdrawing cash from ATMs in Bali.
