This itinerary offers a fantastic day tour, starting with a visit to Penglipuran Village for a glimpse into Balinese culture on the way to Kintamani. You’ll stop at the renowned Akasa Coffee Plantation and visit the temple on the edge of Lake Batur.
On your return journey, you have a couple of intriguing options: either head east to Besakih Temple, known as the Mother Temple of Bali, before driving back through the stunning Sidemen countryside.
Alternatively, you can return via the eastern side of Ubud, stopping at Gunung Kawi and Tirta Empul, two of the most fascinating and accessible temples in Bali.
You also have the option of visiting either Goa Gajah (the Elephant Cave) or Tibumana Waterfall.
Is this a private tour?
Yes, all our tours include a private car and driver. I have personally vetted all the drivers I work with. They text me when they pick you up and again when you are dropped off at the end of the day. I also email you your driver’s name, profile photo, vehicle photo, and phone number beforehand to ensure your safety and provide peace of mind.
What time does the Kintamani Tour leave?
You can start anytime you like, but I recommend leaving between 7:00 – 8:00 AM, or even earlier if possible, to get a head start on the traffic and ensure you have enough time to visit all the stops in the afternoon.
What is and isn’t included?
The Kintamani Day Tour includes pickup from your hotel or villa by an English-speaking, trustworthy, and knowledgeable driver with an immaculately maintained 6-seater air-conditioned SUV. Fuel, applicable taxes, and 10 hours of allocated time from pickup to drop-off are all included.
The seating configuration is 1 in the front passenger seat, 3 in the rear, and 2 more in the rear-most fold-down seats. If you prefer more room, you can upgrade to a Toyota Innova, which is slightly larger and roomier, and far more comfortable for 5 or 6 passengers.
Not included: Food and beverages or entrance fees.
